Yang Ming (UK) Limited, part of the Yang Ming group of companies, have a vacancy for the following personnel:
1. Marine Clerk

Reporting to Marine Manager, your duties involve attending to vessels, preparation of export paperwork, arranging transhipments.
Experience in use of CNS would be advantageous.
The above position is based at our Felixstowe office & is full time.
Normal working hours for this role are 09:00 – 17: 30 with one hour lunch break, Monday to Friday.
Out of hours work will be necessary and time in lieu will be given in compensation.

You should be a mature person, ideally experienced and able to work on own initiative in busy Marine Dept.

2. Export Clerk

Reporting to the Line Manager, the Export Clerk will be responsible for:

  1. The receipt, processing & confirmation of export bookings
  2. The issuance of export bills of lading, freight invoices, Ships manifests and information security
  3. Maintaining and updating Basic export tariff rates as well as Customer specific export rates in Quotation tools system
  4. Key account management
  5. Responding to customer queries quickly and efficiently

You will be part of a hard-working and well respected team focused on providing exceptional Shipping/Customer service.
You should be a highly motivated individual, who thrives in a fast paced environment, working to strict deadlines. You should be self motivated with excellent computer literacy & interpersonal skills.
Ideally, you will have a strong background in Container shipping /Customer Services within the Freight Industry, although training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The above position is based at our Romford head office & is full time. 0900hrs to 1730hrs, Monday to Friday.
